GAN NZ Discusses Gender Equity & Inclusion in VET

Highlighting the great work being done to increase female participation and unpacking the insights driving that work.

On 9th June 2021, GAN New Zealand hosted its first professional learning event focusing on Gender in Vocational Education and Training. Gender inclusion is an issue in many areas of the economy, so the aim of this virtual event was to highlight the wonderful work being done to increase female participation across industry, while providing further insights into where the conversation is heading. The event brought together some outstanding speakers:

We learned about the effects of Covid on female employees, their appetite to retrain or take up a trade, the benefits of an inclusive culture, the importance and impact of introducing young women to careers in tech, and the global perspective on a gender inclusivity focus.
